Hi I would like to be advised for a working contract that I am going to sign.
JA: Where are you? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: I am a Greek entity and the contract will be with a UK company. The contract will be under the uk law.
JA: What steps have you taken so far?
Customer: Do you mean legally?
JA: Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: I have another contract with another uk company and the upcoming one needs to sign for exclusivity.

Hello,

I am a solicitor.

What do you wish to ask please?

Customer: replied 13 days ago.
Hi there. I would like to know the risks of violating exclusivity terms betweens my company and my client. Would you like to share the contract with you?

I am unable to call.

Please upload a copy of the contract using the paperclip icon.

Would you like me
to send you the contract of the second company that I collaborate with as well?
Customer: replied 13 days ago.
I would like to know if I have to pay a penalty for this violation or any other important risk that I will face.

Thank you.

Breach of a contract is a civil matter, not a criminal matter.

You should inform the company that you cannot work for them exclusively and ask them to amend the contract accordingly.

May I help further?

Thanks for your answer. One more question. Is there any other risk apart from the contract termination in case of breach?

You could be sued for breach of contract and face a claim for damages in case Youlend faces any losses as a result of your breach. Please see clause 10.

All the best
