If you did not have insurance and therre is no doubt it was you driving then it is advisable to plead guilty at the earliest opportunity and if this was the first time, or if not having your licence will cause extreme hardhip if you rely on driving for livelihood and there were extenuating circumstances on the day why you did drive without insurance you must plead these in mitigation to get a lesser sentence.
