If you fail to settle you may write a demand letter regarding your concerns just to have a document providing that you did not consent him from selling an essential part of the leased property. If it remains unresolved, you may complaint to your local council about your landlord.

If your landlord still doesn’t sort out your problem after you’ve tried all the steps or if the council can’t help, you might be able to take court action.
