I was trying to reset m i pad to my new e mail address as i have forgottem password XXXXX seem to have lost wi fi and everything how can i put it back to factory settings

I'm sorry about the issue. Please press and hold both the Power button and the Home buttons together on your iPad for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears, then wait a bit, then check.



, then please go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset network settings. Then go to Settings, Wi-Fi, and make sure Wi-Fi is turned on, then connect to your wi-fi/wireless network name and check.


If you do need to reset to factory settings, please go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all Content and Settings.

If that does not work, please reset the iPad this way:

  • Press & hold the power button on the iPad until it lets you slide to turn off, then turn off.
  • Connect the iPad to your computer with the USB Cable.
  • Open iTunes program on your computer (make sure you iTunes program is up to date.)
  • On the iPad, press and hold the Home button and the Power button at the same time.
  • After about 10 seconds release the Power button, but continue holding the Home button until the iTunes program shows that it has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
  • Click OK or Restore.
