I have an apple ipad, last night I asked it to install updates

Customer Question

I have an apple ipad, last night I asked it to install updates as suggested and now I a being asked for passcode for which I have no recollection of what it is. The screen just keeps telling me ipad is disabled, try again in 10 or 15 or 60 minutes. Is there any way my passcode can be retrieved by yourselves and passed on to me. HELP!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your question, my name is Richard.

the code is only stored locally, so we cannot see this.

Is it asking for the screen unlock or for your Apple ID password?

Thank you

Thanks Kathy

The only way to remove this is to reset the iPad, you will not be able to remove the lock any other way.

To do the reset, please do the following.

Connect the iPad to the computer and open itunes

Hold the power and home button down until you see

"iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode..."

Click Restore Phone, let this complete and it should now work without the code.

Let me know the results please

Thank you
