Hi there,

This problem can occur for many reasons.

The most common cause is if one of the projects is corrupted.

Quit iMovie and go to the ~/Movies/iMovie Project folder.
Try opening each project one by one and test it. Quit iMovie again after testing each project.
If one of the projects won't run correctly in iMovie, then it is corrupt.
You will need to try to repair or delete that project.
