Can you tell me please if this is a windows or mac computer.

And if the iPod has worked on this computer before?

Thank you

its a windows pc

and it has worked before it stopped working after it was charged.

Thanks Ian

Disconnect the ipod from the computer.

Hold the home and power button for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo, then release.

Let the iPod restart and then connect it to the computer and tell me if it is now recognised please.
