I was trying to set up icloud on my new ipad air, but l have entered my email address incorrectly and l cannot find a way to alter it. Surely there must be a way to correct this, but l cannot find one!

Go to Settings, icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account. Then log in using a different ID (the correct iCloud account).

Hi, I have tried deleting the account, but it wont do as it needs a password to turn of Find my iPad!

ok, but to enter the iCloud you had to also enter the password, so you already entered this before.

Can you now enter it again to remove the account?

no the password l used does not seem to work, and the system is still trying to verify the icloud account.

ok, do it this way please via a reset.

Go to Settings, General, Reset, Erase all content and reset settings.

Let this complete and you can then setup the iPad again.

Hi, I am sorry but the ipad is asking for the apple id password for the incorrect email address. So it just says that the password or id is incorrect. what do l do now?




ok, it is strange as if you were able to register it then you did at one stage enter the password, else it would not be possible.

But if you really do not recall this, then do the reset this way please.

Connect the iPAd to the computer and open itunes

Hold the power and home button down until you see

"iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode..."

Click Restore iPad, let this complete and it is then returned to new

holding the power button and home button just turns the ipad off!

You need to first connect it to the computer and open iTunes Alison.

then with it open and connected, hold the power and home button.

Just keep holding it till the message appears in iTunes, do not worry about what happens on the iPad please.
