The information you gave me is for a POP3 account setup.
I gave you the IMAP values for an IMAP setup.

They are coming in but not into my inbox should the imap prefix path be clear in the advance section

You can leave it clear.
What does that mean when you say they are coming in, but not into the inbox?
Where are they going?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

it goes to vip

What is vip? Is that a folder?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

That means you may have an email rule setup on the iPad/iPhone or on the server.
If have the problem on both the iPhone and iPad, the rule is probably on the server side.
Please, send a test email to yourself. Does the test email go to your inbox or the VIP folder?
