I'm working with 2 iMacs, a mac air and a macbook pro. Keynote

I'm working with 2 iMacs, a mac air and a macbook pro.
Keynote lectures made on the mac air will open fine on both iMacs but not when copied to the macbook pro
I get error message 'not a valid keynote document' - I've tried the simple fix of :
copy folder
renaming the file .zip
open the zipped folder
changing the name back to .key
It doesn't work . . . any ideas?
What version or Keynote is on each Mac and what system version too? It is likely the version on the MacBook is older than the ones you have on the other iMacs.
