I have an IPAD 4 and Im having a problem with connecting

Hi i have an IPAD 4 and Im having a problem with connecting to the Internet. We have contacted our provider which is Sky and they have tried several ways to try and put it right. They have advised us to contact you as we have noticed that the numbers under IP ADDRESS are empty. Could you advise how to put this right

Can you tell me please exactly what happens when you try to connect to your wifi network on the iPad please.

It just comes up unable to connect
can you remove the power to the wifi router and wait 5 minutes.
While waiting, on the iPad go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings.
Once done, hold the home and power buttons on the iPad for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo then release
Let the iPad restart and then after the 5 minutes, power on the wifi router.
Wait 5 minutes for it to start, then try to connect the iPad to the wifi network.

In the settings Wi-Fi SKY7059 Then under WiFi SKY7059. Sorry I was typing what the IPAD was showing as. When i do the instruction you have sent will this delete any of my files that i have downloaded

It was the firmware that had an issue, and needed a hard restart. We did this just then. It will now be ok.
