Hi, I am unable to connect to Tor Browser. Its comes up with the following message, Tor exited during startup. This might be due to an error in your torrc file, a bug in Tor or another program on your system, or faulty hardware. Until you fix the underlying problem and restart Tor, Tor Browser will not start.

Customer: MacOS High Sierra versions 10.13.1

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is***** will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

I advise you - if you haven't proceeded this way before - to uninstall the Tor browser.

Then when that is done, restart the computer.

Then when the computer is restarted, you can reinstall the Tor browser again, from a fresh download, and a download appropriate for MAC OS X 10.13.

Try that and tell me if it affects things.

Does your internet work OK? fast enough, no pauses, that sort of thing?

And, do you have a good anti-virus suite on your computer?

Internet works fine, no issues there. I recently downloaded an AV anti software but it was only a diagnostic thing and I never paid for it. It’s been deleted.

I regret I have no solution to offer, since I am not maximally expert in Apple internals. I have Opted Out, opening the case to other Experts in this category, hopefully one that is thoroughly Expert with Apple internals.
