Customer Question

hi i went to look an an mx5 turbo 1.6. There are five bolts that bolt the down pipe to the turbo housing and 1 is missing it's blowing where the bolt is missing, it only a matter of unbolting four bolts and putting in the 1 that's missing in first and redoing them up and it won't blow at all. does that sound right?
i just want to know what that cause big power loss.

A leaking turbo will case you power loss without a doubt , replace the bolt and seal the leak, you should be okay . but note with a bolt missing then work was done on this before and was not repaired correctly so may have other problems also .
