When was your last period?
Do you have any pelvic pain?
Do you take any medication daily?
Are your periods regular normally?

last period was 7feb for 6 days previous period 23feb for 6 days not on any medication
no pelvic pain

Abnormal vaginal bleeding can be caused by a number of reasons.
Pregnancy is the common cause.
Other possibilities include:
1. Hormonal irregularities--- estrogen or progesterone deficiency
2. Ovulation related bleeding--but this should be light bleeding.
3. Uterine tumors--benign tumors like fibroids can cause bleeding.
3. Cervical polyps
4. Endometrial hyperplasia
5. Bleeding disorders
6. Thyroid disorder
7. Medications like aspirin etc.

But, most likely this is due to the change in balance between estrogen and progestin. If there is sudden surge in progestin that can induce the bleeding.
This should be checked out by your doctor.
