hi my grandad is 77 and suffers from lung and bladder cancer over the last few days he has been getting a bit worse he did not do the toilet from 7:30am yesterday till 7:00am this morning but has since been unable to urinate again should i contact the local doctors to have him looked at or will he be ok his bp has also been up and down last 3 readings for today were 77/65 86/58 and 91/67 and his hr has been between 99 and 100 bpm

Hello. He really needs to see a doctor today and as soon as possible. His blood pressure is dangerously low and with the elevated heart rate he may be significantly dehydrated. Another possibility could be congestive heart failure with some degree of kidney failure. In any case, from what you've told me, it sounds as though he needs immediate hospital admission
