Hello and welcome to Just Answer.

This medication is approved for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and alzheimers. It has been used in many conditions OFF LABEL, including anxiety disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder. These are not approved indications.

It is a dopamine and serotonin receptor antatgonist. It increases levels of dopamine and serotonin. It must be withdrawn slowly to avoid withdrawal symptoms.

I hope this information helps.
