I woke in the night with a severe right side headache which made me feel rally nauseous and my body was cold and clammy it was much worse than my normal migraines is there any cause for alarm it caused me to miss a whole day as I was unable to function and just took a lot of pain killers

There is definitely cause for alarm.

This is basically the "worst headache of your life" scenario.

Any headache that is this severe. Plus any headache that wakes you from sleep should be urgently evaluated.

It is concerning for a hemorrhage or brain bleed.

I would get to the doctor today and have this checked ASAP

i do suffer with migraine and have been woken in the night several times in the past but this is definately the worst
i have vistied a & e before and they could do nothing except shine lights in my eyes which did not help the situation at all

The doctors there don't seem to be taking you seriously. That must be very frustrating.
