What causes yellow

Customer Question

What causes yellow urine

Welcome to Justanswer

The yellow color of urine can be due to a few causes.

Most common of these being inadequate hydration.

Others include high level of bilirubin in blood which can be an indicator of liver damage or an increased rate of hemolysis (break down of red blood cells)

Urinary tract infection can cause this to happen too.

If this change has been recent and you do not consider yourself to be inadequately hydrated then the best possible way to investigate for the cause would be a physical examination by your doctor and the most helpful investigations would be urine routine examination, CBC (complete blood count) and Renal function tests.

Hope this helped you understand the situation :)
