Hi there,
This is Dr. D.J., experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.
The blood clot is often there to prevent any further nose bleeding.
Hence, it is better not to get rid of it or atleast next 3-4 days.
The clot will be removed by the body's immune system over time by itself.
Please do not pick or insert any foreign object inside the nostril as it can precipitate more bleeding.

Avoid blowing your nose for now.
After 4 days, if there is no bleeding and the clot still there, then you can start sinus rinses with a neti pot which should dislodge the clot.
Do discuss with your doctor also.

Can you tell me what a neti pot is please, and where to buy it

Neti pot is a sinus rinser -- available in any pharmacy store without prescription.
