Hi there,
This is Dr. D.J., experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.
Blood in the urine can signify bleeding from the bladder ,urethra or kidneys.
Blood thinning meds like aspirin can cause this commonly.
Other possibilities can be a cancerous lesion in the bladder or in the kidneys.
Autoimmune disease in the kidneys also can cause this as well.
So, this definitely requires further evaluation with ultrasound of the kidneys, urine cytology etc.
You should see a specialist like Urologist for further evaluation.
If you are taking aspirin or coumadin daily, then this may explain the blood in the urine.
In that case, this should stop on holding the medication.

Best wishes
