Hello Over new year I took a bad fall on an ice covered

Customer Question

Over new year I took a bad fall on an ice covered steep slope. I landed on my back and also hit the lower part of my head with a big thud. My initial symptoms included normal concussion like symptoms - headache etc. After a day or two I seemed to feel much better. However, over the last few days I have become aware of a dull aching in the region of impact (lower back of skull) and started feeling dizzy and a I am having bouts of feeling nauseous (albeit not actually sick).

Please can you advise me?

It will help if you could provide some further information:
Could you provide more details about your initial symptoms?
A headache does not mean that there was a concussion. Certainly, most people with a concussion have a headache, but many people that hit their head and do not sustain a concussion also will have a headache.
What other symptoms were present?
Is there any tenderness when you press on the lower portion of the skull?

I also felt dizzy at the time and had trouble sleeping. I did not see a doctor so my self diagnosis is self assessment. Presently I am not having any trouble sleeping though.

there isn't any tenderness and I'm pretty sure my skull is in good shape.
