you can do kegel exercises to help strengthen you lower pelvic floor muscles.
also loosing weight can help improve incontinence.
also cutting down on how much you drink.
That has not really helped. Is there anything I can do if having a drink is unavoidable?

sounds like you are most likely going into a very very deep sleep and not knowing you are urinating on yourself.

kegel exercises are tightening exercises you can do with your lower pelvic muscles to help strengthen the muscle which helps keep your urine back.
you can do them when no one is watching.
how do you do them
you can squeeze the muscle that you squeeze when you are stopping a bowel movement.
and hold that squeeze for 5-10 seconds.
and repeat that for 10-20 times a day
and then when your muscle gets stronger, you can increase how long you squeeze your pelvic muscle for.
will that help
yes, over time, your pelvic muscle will get stronger.
and will be able to hold back your urine better.
is there any prescriptive drugs i could take
no, there are no prescription drugs that will help.
you really need to cut down on the amount of alcohol you are drinking.
you will develop damage to your stomach or liver over time if you continue to drink like this.
what about an operation
the alcohol is too much and is putting you into too deep of a sleep that you can't wake up when you have to urinate.
there is no operation that will help.
I don't drink that often
you can go see a doctor about this, but they will tell you to cut down on your drinking as well.
how often is that? once a week?
sOMETIMES NOT EVEN ONCE A WEEK
8 pints is still too much at one time.
Other fellas drink the same as me and have no problem
if you cut down to 1-3 pints, you will have less of this problem.
how do you know they don't have this problem?
well, not everyone is the same.
and just because they don't have this problem doesn't mean that you have to keep drinking with them like you do.
I enjoy a drink now and then and this is a problem I would like to conquer but there is no cure other than abstain from drinking
