This is likely related to gout

These are classic symptoms.

gout is a high uric acid level in the body and then it deposits in a joint and causes severe pain and inflammation.

It is treated with anti inflammatories like ibuprofen, steroids and a drug called colchicine.

I am just back from my podiatrist where she informed me that I have a very bad infection under a corn on my big toe .She has sent me for x-rays ,blood tests and arranged for me to start antibiotics she sounded quite concerned due to me being diabetic and having R.A.and having bypass on arteries to my legs. She removed a lot of green puss before dressing it and telling me to rest up and put no weight on it .Is she right to be concerned
absolutely

This sounds like a very serious infection

I totally agree with this plan and think it is appropriate
Customer: replied 4 years ago.
Why is it serious what is the worst possible
Scenario ?

It is serious because these infections are hard to treat in diabetics

Worst case scenario is bone infection and need to amputate

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Will the x-Ray show infection if there is one ?
possibly

sometimes an xray will show it

if not a bone scan or MRI needs to be done
