Hello my boyfriend has a had this problem for possibly over a year now, he will eat something that will make him feel sick (anything fried food/take away/ home cooked/ready made) and then he will puke it all up and then the real problem will be begin because then he would be feeling hot and cold then end up drenched in sweat and will keep puking until his vomit turns into bile, recently I have seen it turn green and it has blood at the bottom of his vomit. he's stomach is also constantly hurting (he's constantly crying out in pain and can't sleep because of it) and this can go on for 2 to 3 days with no sleep sometimes. when he feels like his recovering we will give him something light to eat like soup if we are lucky he gets better but half the time he will puke it all up again and we are back to square one. I have tried giving him medical drinks that are suppose to give u back your nutrients or energy because he is not eating but he always vomits it up. I have also given him anti sick tablets and peptobismol but vomits, even water that he will constantly be drinking he will vomit it up. He is next to me now with the same problem and I don't know what to do. He has had doctors come take a look at him. I have taken him to the hospital and they couldn't feel anything wrong with his stomach, and they x-rayed his stomach and saw nothing. they said they could see his white blood cells fighting something but not sure what. can you help me?
Thank you for your question:

Have they ever done an ultrasound of his gallbladder or other tests for gallstones?

no? well he had his stomach x-rayed and found nothing but I don't think he has had an ultrasound. do I just ask at the hospital?

IBased on the history that you have provided, I would be concerned that he may have gallbladder problems. There are a number of tests that can be performed to evaluate gallbladder problems including an ultrasound.

I would suggest specifically asking them to check him for gallbladder problems.

He has taken drugs sometimes on a night out such as md and coke which sometimes after a night out of doing these things would get this sickness of vomiting and I thought it was because he done too much which caused the problem. Then the sickness would come when he drank too much alcohol and I thought this could be the problem. but then he stopped taken drugs and drinking for three months and the problem was just starting from food alone. I realized any food was causing the exact problem and thought he could only eat small amounts of food, but even small amounts don't help. this time it was just a couple of chips that it set off.

p.s thank you for your help doctor it means a lot

do you think it could be anything else? (I will make sure he gets an ultrasound)

There are of course other less common or less likely causes for these symptoms. If the hospital is not able to make a diagnosis, he should request an appointment with a gastroenterologist consultant.
