Revision hip replacement.

OK Anti K refers to an antibody in your blood that can bind to the Kell antigens that some other people may have in their blood and that would cause problems with red cell destruction if by chance you needed a transfusion during or after the surgery and were transfused with blood that contained the antigen. So it will just be important for the blood bank to make sure any blood put aside for possible transfusion for you is free of the Kell antigen.
