Hi my partner is constantly needing to poo he has has rapid weight loss, he looks very gaunt, he has little to no appetite any idea what might be wrong?
Hi--how long has this been going on and how much weight has he lost? Hasn't he seen a doctor about this?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.
1-2 months he has lost about 2stone 3 pounds and I have advised him to go to the doctors as I am really worried
OK Samuel. Up until one or two months ago he was fine and didn't have any medical problems? Is it diarrhea he's having and is he not eating very much?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.
He is eating but feels full after a few bites and sick he goes to the toilet about 5-6 times a day and it just runs out of him
OK Samuel. Obviously he needs to see a doctor now. This isn't anemia and the iron won't help here. It sounds like he has a bacterial enteritis--either E coli or salmonella--and he just can't absorb much of the food he eats. He'll need blood work and a stool sample for cultures and probably a colonoscopy and some powerful antibiotics. He really can't go on like this and he should have seen a doctor long ago
