I have had a TURP op

Customer Question

I have had a TURP op. and have been told that 'there were 5 in a 100 Aggressive cancer cells' in the samples which taken. I asked if this means I have Prostate Cancer, answer YES. I am now waiting 19 weeks since the first referral date. Questions;- !) Its this delay in Scan important? 2) What does 5 in 100 Aggressive cancer cells really mean? I appreciate that the results of the scan will give me a far better idea of my condition, but, I would be pleased to have some idea of my outlook? Yours sincerely,Ken XXXXXX

1)no, this delay is fine. prostate cells are VERY slow growing

2)it basically means you have a pre cancer stage in the prostate

you might eventually need it taken out
