hi i think my son and i have monorithrix ...beaded hair. ive read its genetic which makes sense as my mother had it to. we havent got hair loss but fragile hair. my son has dyslexia and dyspraxia and is about to be tested for arthritis in his hands. could this all be connected and should we mention our hair to the doctor?
Hello. I'm Dr. Phil, licensed and practicing internist. Excellent service is my goal.

Yes it absolutely could be

Hair issues are part of many autoimmune disorders

And with his arthritis he could very well have an inflammatory joint condition

I recommend he see a rheumatoid doctor and definitely mention the hair
