I am a 67 year old woman. for week I have been passing water much more than usual, surgery has checked urine sample and says its clear so nothing has been prescribed.
Hi--do you have any medical conditions and take any medications and are you saying that you are urinating many more times a day?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Hi -high blood pressure, been on Ramipril 10 mg for years, also very mild asthma, again been taking medication for years. Urinating every 1 to 2 hours, much more than usual, up 2 or 3 times a night, but feel OK

OK Anne--the urinalysis had no glucose or white cells in it? Did your doctor have any comment about the problem?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I did not see doctor, was told by receptionist that my sample was clear. asked for more attention so was given nurse appt for blood test next tues

OK--have you lately been more thirsty than usual and therefore drinking more fluids?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Not sure, I usually need to drink fluids quite often but don't think I'm drinking more than usual

OK Anne. Of course a receptionist saying your urine was clear is somewhat nebulous here. My first thought is that your blood glucose is elevated and you may be developing diabetes and that can cause frequent urination. Another possibility would be a urinary tract infection. Finally, an overactive bladder could be the problem. I can't tell you exactly what the problem is with the limited information you and I have right now but my first thought is a problem with elevated blood glucose. Let me know what the further blood work shows.
