Customer Question

I have had an ileostomy for 3 years. I seem to be prone to urinary tract infections since my
total colectomy. Is this a known complication following this operation?

It should not be a direct complication.

Has anything else changed?

I have not heard back from you.

Unless there is a fistula, the procedure would have nothing to do with your UTI.

A fistula would be obvious because your infection would never clear up.
