Hi--how long has all this been going on and can you tell me more about the heartburn. Also your age and gender please
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
I am 58 yrs old,I have a kidney stone which I found out about when I was rushed to hospital with a very bad pain in my groin I had passed a kidney stone I was told then that I still had another one which was bigger than the first one. I feel very tired just lately and I have tried every diet there is,I can lose about 12lbs and no matter what I do I can never go beyond that.I find that when I have been on my feet for 10 hours I have a muscule Spasam on my left side which makes me. I have always been fit and healthy and I never go to the doctors

OK--have you had any tests to see what might be the problem?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
no when I have been to see my GP they make me feel as if I am wasting there time so I just don't go

So have you had things like liver and kidney function tests and thyroid function tests? Do you have any diagnosed medical conditions?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
I have been tested for all those thing which came back negative the test was done in November 2013

OK--just a couple of more questions. Tell me more about the heartburn and when I do give you an answer all I can do is give you my thoughts and what more I might do if I were your doctor, so I have to ask if that will be sufficient for you?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
I get heartburn quite a lot and it will make me feel sick it can even be when I have not eaten or even after taking gaviscon

OK--and we can continue after this if you'd like. As far as the hearburn this could be a peptic ulcer problem or an infection in the stomach known as H pylori. Something like Nexium or Prilosec would probably help but you really need an upper endoscopy and a screen for the H pylori to see exactly what's going on there. As for the fatigue and the pains, if your TSH isn't below 3.0 I'd consider you hypothyroid and treat that but this could also be a low cortisol problem, a vitamin D deficiency, an autoimmune condition like lupus, and I would also get an EBV viral titer to look for chronic fatigue syndrome. So basically I would do more studies to see exactly what the problem(s) are. You should at least mention all this to your doctor and see if he'll start the workup
