Hi--how long has this been going on and are you having any problems with taste? Any nasal discharge or headaches?

OK and we can continue after this if you'd like. Most likely this is a sinus infection problem even without the nasal discharge or headaches. Another possibility would be gastric acid reflux at night even if you have no problems with indigestion or heartburn. One very unlikely cause would be a brain tumor but without headaches or any other symptoms that would be very unlikely. You do need to see a doctor about this though to have your sinuses checked out since you might need antibiotics.
