B12 runs in my family. My mum believe I suffed from it, however blood test say different. I feel worse a week or ever 2 weeks before my period. Some days I feel horrendous with tiredness. I work full time, have two young children and im aged 30. I suffer with extreme tiredness, forgetfulness, lack of concentration, my mouth burns, pins and needles in my hands when I wake up on a morning, light headed, irritable, aches all over body and now ive got some unexplained bruising under my eye, its a deep red purple mark with has been there for over a week, hasnt changed colour, just grew a little. Please help me as I feel like im at a dead end
If your B12 level is not abnormal then it is now low B12.
What tests have you had
What doctor [type] have you seen?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I have had Fbc, the doctor said the test was for b 12, well she marked it. I have seem my normal gp. Stilk nothing

Sorry don't know what you mean by FBC
Serum B12 is the test for B12.
You have had no work up at all.
What previous diagnoses do you have
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

The gp said when tbe bloods came back normal, that how I feel is typical around or during my period. Even though I have explained twice now this is getting worse and lasting longer. FBC full blood count. I forgog to mention the palpitations too. Again get worse when all the symptoms get worse.

So what is your exact question about all of this?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

What would you advise me to ask the doctor? Could these symtoms be anything else? What would be your expert opinion. If the tests have come back normal what tests can be carried out next

I would consider tests that are not routine.
Thyroid studies: this can be hypothyroid.
It is often not diagnosed.
That first.
Then I would consider chronic fatigue, which has all of these symptoms./
OK, so that is an initial answer….
