Hi--why were the tests ordered and do you have your liver function tests?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Gamma- glutamyl transferase 64. Urea 1.8 . MCV 97.4. Hdw 1.95. NEUT 6.57. Luc 0.06. ESR 23. Free T4 18.4. Im not sure which are liver funtion readings. Ive sent these ones because they have a star mark next to them. I also have blood in urine since april. Im also on B12 injections for 2 years.
OK Helen but again, why were the first tests you listed done--what symptoms prompted that?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Pylonephritis in july .i was in a&e because my gp wasnt sure what was wrong with me.the hospital suggested my bloods be done with gp for autoimmune!!! Holiday in new york in april. Bladder infection and was treated with my gp 3 day after returning home from new york. I have been sick continuously since that holiday. I have seen a urologist. He says hes not too worried about. I seen ent doctor because my gp was sure i had chronin sinus. Nil with him. Ultrasound nil.
OK Helen. Sorry for the questions. We can continue after this if you'd like but your initial tests are not what I'd call indicative of something specific. If the SMA antibodies results were more positive, along with the ANA that would possibly indicate an autoimmune disorder like autoimmune hepatitis or autoimmune kidney disorder. At this point I'd refer you to a rheumatologist for more specific testing to rule out an autoimmune disorder.

If it is maybe autoimmune hepatitis or kidney disorder how do you think i might have got them. I never had a kidney infection in my life. I also have a tethered spinal cord. I did very little alcohol. My last drink was june 12. 2 beers!!! I finished menopause 5 years ago.
They aren't infectious diseases Helen so one doesn't "catch" them. No one knows exactly what causes autoimmune disorders but basically the body's immune system starts looking at normal tissue as a foreign body and starts attacking an organ, say. I really don't think you have the problem but your tests do indicate that more evaluation is needed
