How can naproxen interact with surgery
Hello from JustAnswer
What type of surgery is planned?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Hand surgery
Thank you.

The only concern about naproxen for hand surgery would be an increased risk of bleeding. This is a general effect of all anti-inflammatory medicines and is not unique to the naproxen. The usual advice is to stop all anti-inflammatory drugs in this situation.

The other potential adverse effects of naproxen, such as irritation of the stomach causing gastritis or ulcers or an adverse effect on the heart, would not be a concern with hand surgery.

So the only concern would be the increased risk of bleeding.

If I can provide any further information, please let me know.
