Customer Question

Hi there. I have been on here before but I write with some concern over my general health! I have been unwell on and off for the last 5 weeks and constantly for the last 2. I have aching muscles, fatigue especially when waking up and general feeling unwell. I had blood tests done and all negative except ck levels slightly raised. Was my wedding on Friday and I thought I wasn't going to get through it. I felt extremely unwell up until after the dinner when I started to feel a little better! I managed to get through evening fairly comfortablly. Yesterday I felt ok until the evening when it struck again. I really can't fathom why I am feeling so unwell and how it is intermittent.

Dear customer,

Please write in detail what investigations were done and when all these symptoms started? Have you taken any treatment for this condition? Past history?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Started 6 weeks ago or so. Had full blood count all good, thyroid and ebv fine! Blood pressure is fine just ck level slightly raised. Doctor originally thought it was post viral fatigue but the fact it is on and off and more excertion csn make me feel a little better not sure it fits. I am worried as i flying off on holiday tomorrow and want to be ok

Dear customer,

Thanks for your reply.

How is your sleep? Any recent stress? Any appetite or weight changes? Alcohol?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Sleep seems ok but I wake up so so tired. Had my wedding on Friday and that was quite stressful! As I said I felt I'll most of the day but started to feel a little better when the day was late. Just have moments when I feel really ill. Appetite is ok and I have tried to eat more healthy but have put on a bit of weight. Do you think i will be ok to fly?

Dear customer,

Based on your history and investigations done, this is most probably due to the stress and also due to the viral infection. As we know that a chronic, unremitting anxiety can produce fatigue which is often characterized as nervous exhaustion, apprehension, indecisiveness, restlessness, insomnia, trembling, and increased muscle tension. Also this type of fatigue caused by anxiety is unrelieved by rest, and presents as transient exhaustion that quickly gives way to bursts of energy.

Hence please consult a psychologist and get into a therapy program for anxiety. The book you can read to know more is Feeling Good by Dr. David Burns.

Yes it is OK for you to fly.

Take care. Please give positive feedback.
