I have just had some blood tests in regard to an apparent skin allergy around my eyelids lips and neck and the results showed the following:
All in normal ranges except -
IgE 186 - High
RBC 4.07 - Low
MCH 33.5 - High
RDW-CV 11.6 - Low
WBC 3.17 - Low
Neutrophils 1.47 - Low
Monocytes 12.1 - High
Basophils 2.11 - High
My doctors advice was eat more greens and red meat.
Your comments on these results would be appreciated.
Hi there.
Thank you for your question.
I will be helping you out with your queries.
What was the level of your MCV and hemoglobin?
Please let me know.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Mcv was 96.3 and hemoglobin was 13.6
Your RBC count is slightly on the lower side but considering that your hemoglobin is normal and the MCV is normal, I would not worry at all.
The MCV is on the upper limit of normal (which means that the red blood cells are slightly bigger) that can happen with low folate or vitamin B12 which is why that particular dietary advice was given.
However, there is no major finding on your blood report other than raised IgE which can be due to allergies.
The bot***** *****ne is that there is nothing to worry about with this report.
