Hi Can you help please? I have a strange skin problem on my feet. To give you a clue it looks exactly like the shape of "moccasin foot" It is very red, very sore and has a burning sensation. it is compounded further by the fact I wear bi-lateral foot and ankle supports. I have had a month of Terbinafine oral, Been prescibed Lamisil and Fucibet.. the Fucibet aggravated it more than ever. I have just had a skin scraping done and just this morning has come back normal!! Gutted Any idea's please?

it could be a bacterial cellulitis infection of the bottom of your foot

you might need to be treated with a course of antibitoics

you have tried antifungal creams and steroid creams which have not seem to work

you haven't tried an oral antibiotic yet.

let me know if you have questions.

No, sorry, reasonably happy its not cellulitis. Its not moving fast enough for that and not that kind of hot (strange I know) I am still convinced its a fungal problem but can't understand the test coming back as normal

you seem to be convience that it is fungal but the skin fungal test are negative and the antifungal creams are not working.

you can ask your doctor to try a strong antifungal pill like fluconazole which will kill any fungus anywhere in your body.

but if that doesn't work, then you should try an antibiotic to see if that works.

not all cellulitis moves quickly.

it doesn't sound like you have tried fluconazole also called diflucan.
