Ask a Doctor and Get an Answer to Your Medical Question ASAP
Hi there. Thank you for your question. I will be helping you out with your queries
How severe is the pain?
Have you been exercising or lifting heavy weights during this period of time?
Does the pain radiate to one leg or both legs?
Please let me know.
Pain is medium, I have been been doing some weights and glute bridge exercises.
The onset of erectile dysfunction was quite sudden and happened in about 2-3 days.
I think that you should be seen ASAP for this particularly because of your history of weight lifting and this may be due to a herniated disc pressing on a nerve in the back causing the back pain radiating to the leg.
You will most likely require a MRI of your lower back to check for that as far as I am concerned.
Ok, do you think it will be treatable?
It is treatable
I also have vitamin D deficiency, can that also cause ED?
For the time being I would recommend that you should take some pain medications like over-the-counter pain medications i.e. ibuprofen.
Vitamin D deficiency should not cause ED
Do you think if I wait a couple of days, it might return back to normal?
Well, yes you can wait but if your symptoms worsen you should go to the emergency.
Meanwhile you should take some rest from your physical activity and weight lifting.
Are you with me?
Ok thanks for the help. Any chance of any permanent damage do you reckon?

ok lastly, what is the treatment procedure for a herniated disc?
If surgery is ever required then the procedure is called as laminectomy.
