Till you upload the picture, I am going to answer your question because the things are quite obvious.
The pain after tooth extraction and yellow spot due to abscess is not normal after 7 days of tooth extraction.
you should definitely see your dentist or even a GP and if that is not possible then emergency room as you may need drainage of abscess and antibiotics.
As long as the pus will stay there, the pain will remain.
thanks for quick reply
im sending pics as well
I hope you are taking pain killers but if you are not then over the counter tab aleve twice daily is the strongest option for you.
Yes sure I am waiting.
Is that yellow spot soft or hard?
If you touch it with some pointing object, does pus come out?
should i try?
No I was asking in case you might have tried it.
well we will go to dentist anyway but i wish to get as much info from u as possible as i will feel much better.
Don't do it as it can be painful.
no i havent im bit scared it will be painfull
but i know its soft
Yes as I said, pain after 7 days, is not normal at all.
The presence of abscess means that you need the drainage
In presence of abscess even antibiotics don't work.
This doesn't mean that he has left roots inside.
The tissue can become infected even after removal of all roots.
doctor was quite sure roots are out,so i hope so
Are you on any pain killers or antibiotics?
just painkillers at the moment
Yes he must have removed the roots if he said so.
should i go to emergenci or normal dentist
you should go to dentist because he can help you.
If going to dentist is not possible then the second option is emergency roon.
Make sure you are taking ibuprofen in proper dose.
so its better to wait till tommorow for dentist?
Aleve is better option.
what is that?
It is available over the counter.
Yes that is a stronger pain killer available from pharmacy without prescription.
Dose is twice daily.
You can use that till you go to dentist.
will i be sleepy?
is it drowsy ?or how you call it..
No not at all.
No it has no sedation.
ok,, so its not point to call emergenci its better to go to dentist right?
It's just like ibuprofen but stronger than it
If pain is bearable then yes going to dentist is best.
if i go to dentist tommorow is there a chance that they will take me? could they say they are too busy and give me apppointment month after?it happend to me before
Well if you go to same dentist then it is likely that they will take you because you have got a complication after a procedure done by them.
it was done in different country :(
Oh I see.
i was on holliday out of uk
now im in uk.
But even then I would advise you to see dentist if possible, if not then yes emergency room option or seeing GP is an option.
what is best to tell them so they will act?
Tell that you have pain there and abscess as well.
This should be enough for them to help you.
and if they dont take me should i go to emergenci ?or wait for another apointment
Do you have pain on pressing cheek as well?
ok i think thats all
If they don't take you and pain is controlled with pain killers and appointment is not more than 2 days far then yes wait for dentist.
Otherwise go to emergency.
im just scared that they could say they are too busy to take me and there will be nowhere to go before christmas :(
Option for emergency room is always there.
do they do drainage on emergency as well?
But they can prescribe you antibiotics
That is the reason that try to get dentist's appt.
thanks for your helo
help and have nice christmas
