I am currently fitted with a catheter urine is coming down the tube and penis with a little blood, can you help please
Hi. Are you saying that both urine and blood are leaking outside of the catheter? Is this an indwelling through the penis catheter and, if so, when was it last changed?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

It is an indwelling, through the penis and it was changed on the 8th December

OK Andrew but are you saying that the urine and blood are leaking outside the catheter or that there's some blood in the collecting bag?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I do not have a collecting bag fitted at the moment, a valve is fitted to be released every hour or so, but I am realeasing it more often just now

OK--sorry to keep asking but is all your urine coming through the catheter itself and it's somewhat bloody? And why do you have to use the catheter?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Urine is coming though both the catheter and penis at the same time under pressure, a slight amount of blood is coming down the catheter tube

OK--now I understand Andrew. Two things here-- the catheter itself is either partially blocked or not in quite the correct position and it may be irritating your bladder and your prostate gland. As long as your bladder is being fully emptied then this isn't an emergency but you need to get in touch with your doctor as soon as possible since you need to have that catheter removed and a new one put in place
