Hi, My wife Janet aged 53 and an asthmatic developed a heavy chest cough and flu on 1 December with a high temperature. Since then the 'cold and flu' element has gone but she has retained a nasty cough which has become progressively worse in the last 48 hours. She is bring up an opaque phlegm with four out of five coughing fits. Her breathing is wheezy but what is of concern is the 'rattling' noise from her chest when she is breathing normally. No temperature. We are holiday in the Lizard in Cornwall so no local GP.
