I had a thyroid test done a little over a year ago as I had

Customer Question

I had a thyroid test done a little over a year ago as I had put on a lot of weight, was tired all the time, dry skin - all the symptoms for hypothyroidism. I got the blood results sent to me but never went over them with a doctor. Since then I have had a miscarriage and am wondering if that has anything to do with my symptoms. My results were:
free t4: 15.3
free t3: 4.9
Any help deciphering these would be much appreciated!

Hi. Did you have other testing like cortisol levels, vitamin D levels?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

No just thyroid tests but have had a complete molar pregnancy since then so was wondering if any of this could be linked

OK--no, this wouldn't be related to the molar pregnancy but with symptoms resembling hypothyroidism and a TSH level not close to 1.0 I would consider you hypothyroid and treat you with thyroid supplementation. That said, there could also be a problem with high cortisol levels or low vitamin D levels so I would also check those. At this point I would refer you to an endocrinologist
