Hi--do you have the other values on that CBC report? And have you discussed this with your doctor?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

WBC 7.80 Neutrophils 7.80 x 10 9/1. No just received written report following annual check on platelets.

OK Joan. Has your haemoglobin been elevated in the past? Do you smoke? And do you have any other medical conditions?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Not to my knowledge. I have been diagnosed with thrombocytosis of unknown cause. I do no smoke. Other conditions acid reflux and osteopenia. Medications omeprozole and adcal d3.

OK We can continue after this but the platelet level is fine but the hemoglobin is signficantly elevated. That can be from smoking, something called polycythemia vera--the bone marrow produces too many red cells, COPD and other lung conditions, heart disease, and certain kidney tumors. I can't give you a precise diagnosis here but you need to discuss this with your doctor and get it evaluated
