what is myocardial ischemia?

what is myocardial ischemia?
Hi. We can certainly continue after this but myocardial ieshemia refers to a problem with blood flow in an area of the heart muscle. It indicates partial blockage of one or more coronary arteries and generally it manifests itself with angina--chest pain. It doesn't mean one has had a heart attack but that one is at risk for getting one. If it's been detects on an ECG or by a stress test then the coronary angiogram is done to see the extent of the blockage and whether cardiac stents need to be placed in the blocked arteries or whether a bypass operation is warranted
