My wife has been suffering from a viral infection which hurts

This answer was rated:

My wife has been suffering from a viral infection which hurts her eyes, makes her feel dizzy and continual sneezing for the last 10 weeks. Our GP has prescribed antibiotics and noise drops but nothing seems to work. It is making her very depressed. She is 63. Can you suggest an alternative effective remedy?

Hi. Any redness to her eyes? What antibiotics were prescribed?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

No redness. Doxycline (not sure of spelling)

OK--any discharge from he nose? Any fever?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

No discharge or fever. She has blocked sinuses which are causing a headache and she has lost her appetite, although she does eat a little.

OK--we can continue after this but I would get a ct scan of her sinuses to look for chronic sinusitis and she would need different antibiotics like Septra for that. She needs to discuss this with her doctor but for now a Neti pot or a saline nasal irrigation kit could help her with her symptoms
