This is Dr. David
you can try magnesium citrate which contains magnesium and citric acid
which has a strong laxative effect and can be used for colonocopy bowel preps.
Will the hospital pharmacy be able to provide this to me as an NHS patient?
yes, the hospital pharmacy should be able to provide it to you.
it is also available over the counter at most drug stores and even some grocery stores as well.
so it is very safe strong laxative.
let me know if you have other questions.
best of luck to you

hello?
Thanks. I will speak to the Hosp pharmacy tomorrow. I am no,t convinced they will be happy to help since the moviprep was given to me when l said that the picolax had caused real problems. Seems someone here doesn't read what the ingredients are or just don't understand!
I see.
ask about magnesium citrate which could help you prep your bowels without sulphates.
do you have any other questions?
thanks.
