Ive had a tickly cough days. Im coughing up very small

Customer Question

Ive had a tickly cough for 10 days. Im coughing up very small amounts of phlegm, but I feel a bit tired and under the weather. Ive tried getting plenty of rest, drinking plenty of fluids, taking paracetamol and cough medicine. Ive also been out for short walks. None of this self treatment is getting anywhere. What else can you advise ?

After 20 days, an exam.
This can be bronchospasm, and need an inhaler.
It can be early atypical pneumonia, which often does not have fever.
It can be bronchitis with bronchospasm.
In fact, this is no longer a self treatment situation.
You have already taken the normal, over the counter measures.
See your GP.
OK, so that is an initial answer….
