Over the last 4 months i have been getting alot of small

This answer was rated:

Over the last 4 months i have been getting alot of small flesh coloured lumps under the skin on my chin and a few around the edge of my mouth. I have also have a small breakout out of spots. This is quite unusual for me as i normally have very clear skin and im unsure what this is or what may be causing it.
Hi. It would help greatly if you could post a photo on this page but if that isn't possible how large are these lumps and what to the breakout spots look like?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Unable to put a pic on, but there are about 15 across my chin they are very small and hard to touch. The breakout spots are quite swollen and red but nothing comes out of them

OK Stacey--we can continue after this if you'd like

It sounds like two separate things going on here

The small lumps are milia--small benign cysts.

The red spots sound like rosacea--adult acne.

For the milia, those can be removed with a cold CO2 laser.

The rosacea can be effectively treated with a course of oral doxycycline

The best option for you would be to get a referral to a dermatologist for the dual treatment

Great Thanks

I have an apointment tomorrow to have a prescription facial and face mapping done, would the person doing this be able to tell me if what you have said is what i have.

Also can this spread to other areas of my face?

I don't think any of this will spread to other areas Stacey

Yes the cosmetologist you're going to see can confirm what I've told you
