Following a hernia operation I have experieced constant discomfort

Customer Question

following a hernia operation I have experieced constant discomfort incuding constipation.
My specialist prescribed Versatis 5% medicated plasters to alleviate/solve the problem.
However these problems continue after a 7 month period of use. There must surely must
be some treatment that can remove what can be extreme discomfort. One explanation from my sister-in-law who previously worked in a Hospital Theatre is that during the
operation the Surgeon cut/sliced through nerve ends which has resulted in the post
operation discomfort and constipation.

Where is the discomfort exactly.
Does it come and go?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I get the discomfort predominately in bed overnight and have experienced
also following a gym workout. I hasten to add that at my time of life I do not
push myself to extremes in that respect. The discomfort is possibly related
to an element of constipation. There were no problems with my first hernia
4 and a half years ago.

Have you had a scope
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I have not had a scope.

So I take it this could be a fissure, a polyp...someone needs to look.
The pain is in the rectal area?
